Moon, moon and moon,, we all have always been fantasized by this heavenly body. We have always admired its beauty so much so that it has become a part of our life, rituals, poems and even literature. But all this was from a distance of 384403 km.

But now its our turn to take on this beauty. we have taken steps to come out of our fantasies and take a closer look to this most cherished heavenly body.

Yes its our India turn to be on Moon. India's first mission to the moon, will lift off from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre at Sriharikota in Andhra Pradesh Oct 22, if there whether permits. The Chandrayaan-1 mission involves placing a 525-kg spacecraft in lunar orbit to help expand scientific knowledge about the moon besides upgrading India's technological competence and providing challenging opportunities for planetary research to the younger generation. The spacecraft, named andrayaan-1,
will orbit the Moon, surveying its surface with high-resolution equipment.
